Contract
and Warranties
Once
we have accepted your booking and the payment required, a contract has
been entered into, which includes these conditions, and such contract is
governed by English law. Payment
of all required amounts when they are due is of the essence of the
contract. When you make a
booking you warrant that you are over 18 years old, accept full
responsibility for all persons who will use the property during the period
booked, and have read our Information and prices either in printed form or
on our website.
Bookings
Provisional
bookings made by telephone will remain firm provided we receive the amount
due within the period agreed at the time of booking (one to seven days).
Provisional bookings made by email can only be considered
provisional from the time we have acknowledged your booking request and
advised on the period of time you have to send in the amount due.
If you holiday starts within ten weeks of the date you make your
booking, you are required to pay the total price at the time of your
booking. If your holiday
starts more than 10 weeks from the date you make the booking, you are
required to pay a deposit of 30% of the cost of your holiday .
If you pay a deposit, the balance must be received at least 10
weeks before the beginning of the period booked.
We do not undertake to remind you and if we do not receive the
balance when due, we may exercise our right to cancel your booking and
make it available to others. Repayment
of your deposit in this instance will depend on our ability to relet the
property for the period concerned. See
“Cancellation” terms below.
Payment
All
payments must be made in Pounds Sterling.
Payment can be made by cheque only.
Loss
or Damage
When
you book, you agree to indemnify us against all loss and damage arising
(including unreasonably large amounts of cleaning) directly or indirectly
to the property and its contents from any deliberate or negligent act or
omission by yourself, or any person or animal accompanying you and without
limitation of the foregoing to pay us forthwith upon written demand our costs in making good any such loss and damage, and
cleaning. We shall not
be responsible for any loss, or damage to any belongings, or injuries
sustained by you or any member of your party.
Cancellation
We
DO NOT operate any kind of Cancellation Insurance. If you require insurance cover against cancellation you must
make your own private arrangements. In
any case, if you cancel a booking for any reason you must notify us in
writing and if (and only if) we can relet the holiday for all or part of
the period booked, we will return to you any sums received by us up to the
amount you paid for the period relet less £30.00 for administration
costs. To achieve a reletting, we reserve the right to relet at a
discount, at our discretion. We
may cancel a booking at any time before the date on which your booking
begins. We would expect to do
this only for essential work or for some other unforeseen reason effecting
the property or the farm. In
this unlikely event we shall refund in full all money received by us for
the booking, but will not have any liability beyond this.
Access
We
may have access to the property at any time during your stay.
Anyone with our authority may also have access during your stay.
This is unlikely to happen, but if it does we will give you as much
notice as possible.
VAT
Our
prices include VAT. If VAT
rates change we reserve the right to amend our prices accordingly.
We
reserve the right to terminate a booking at any time if these conditions
are not met in full.
