The Hay House accommodation details

Whilst we have taken every effort to maintain the integrity of the building and its environment, we have included the necessities of life to ensure a comfortable stay; dishwasher, television, DVD player, heating, fully equipped kitchen, plenty of hot water, well equipped bathroom and good quality, comfortable beds.

The style and quality of the Hay House is similar to that of properties available through the Landmark Trust and National Trust, organisations through which we, ourselves, have enjoyed very good self-catering holidays.

The Farm House kitchen – the original Dairy.  A mix of brick and stone built walls.  A large room with a well equipped kitchen, solid wood custom built cupboards – dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, electric cooker and use of a tumble drier.  Accommodates a large kitchen table and a couple of easy chairs.  Enjoys lovely views.

The Sitting Room – the original Hay House.  High ceiling with stone built walls.  Original door leading onto garden and views.  Wood burning stove to supplement heating. Within the sitting room is a mezzanine floor which houses the Gallery Bedroom.

The Gallery Bedroom – a Double Bed.  Balustrade overlooks the Sitting Room below.  A curtain can be drawn at night for privacy.

The Master Bedroom – a large room with high ceilings and King size Bed.  Lovely views over farmland towards Ottery St Mary and Exmoor.  En-suite toilet and washbasin.

The Twin Bedroom – a mix of stone and lime plastered walls.  Accommodates two single beds.  Far reaching views.

The Bathroom – a mix of stone and lime plastered walls.  Well equipped, traditional white bathroom suite.

Stair gate is fitted at top of stairs. Cot and High Chair are available on request.
