Blacklake Farm is marked on the Ordnance Survey "Landranger" map 192 and "Explorer" map 115. The grid reference is SY930113.

From the North / North West / West. Leave the M5 at Junction 29 and take the A30 towards Honiton. Continue along the A30 dual carriageway for ~15mins and take the exit for Ottery St Mary. Follow the signs for Ottery St Mary. Continue through the town of Ottery St Mary following the signs for Sidmouth. (Bear right at the Fish and Chip Shop). After ~2 miles you will see the village sign for Wiggaton, you will then start to enter the village and the road narrows, slow down as you need to take the first left hand turning. (A sharp one!). Continue up this road out of the village for ~1 mile. As you go up the hill the first cross roads you come to (Burrow Cross) turn right. Go along to the end of this road (past Putts Farm entrance) and you will come to Blacklake Farm on your right. The Hay House is the first entrance and the farm house the second entrance.

From the East / North East. Approach Honiton on the A303 then the A30. Leave the A30 signposted for Honiton and continue through the towns high street. Continue straight on at the traffic lights at the west end of the high street. At the next roundabout turn left signposted to Sidmouth A375. Continue up the hill along this road for ~ 3 miles. You will see some radio masts on your left and will approach a cross roads (Putts Corner) by the Hare and Hounds Pub. Turn right here signposted to Ottery St Mary. After ~ 1.5 miles take the left hand turn signposted East Hill Strips and/or White Cross. (If you start going down hill - you missed it!). Continue for ~ 2 miles until you reach a sort of T junction signed White Cross. Turn right down the hill. Enjoy the view but drive carefully! At the T junction at the bottom turn right then bear left at the next fork. Blacklake farmhouse is the first entrance on the left and The Hay House is the second on the left.

From the South East / South . Approach Sidmouth on the A3052. When you reach Sidford continue on the A3052 towards Exeter. After ~ 2 miles you will come to a cross roads at the Bowd Inn. Turn right signposted to Ottery St Mary then take the first right turn just after the Bowd Inn (Fire Beacon Lane). After  ~ 500yrds the road bears to the left (straight on is a dead end). Stay on this road for ~ 2 miles. You will come to a junction but keep going straight on, next is a right turn up the hill - ignore this, at the next fork bear left.  Blacklake farmhouse is the first entrance on the left and The Hay House is the second on the left.
